Re: Once more Guilty donnie is Guilty, again!
Ken, there's nothing about Biden that is senile. His administration's record demonstrates that. And as to 'corrupt' you must have missed the FBI arrest and DoJ indictments of the witness against Biden that the Rep's based their whole story of corruption on as well as the faux impeachment of Biden. The witness lied, again and again. So did Comer and so did the Right wing pundit class. The same folks who lied about the stolen 2020 election lied again and were caught again.
And last week a GA judge tossed the Texas based True the Vote lawsuit that said it had written names and proof of how the GA election was stolen. But when the court pressed them to produce that they responded in writing that they had no such proof.
But you can go over to Trump's website and buy a $399 pair of gold sneakers that he's selling to raise money for his legal defense. Or even buy the Victory 47 'scent' his newest scam. Word is it smells of overripe armpits and ketchup and worse.
And just in case you've read this far Ken, what specific proof are you referring to that has arrived to disprove one single charge against Trump?

Meanwhile, you’re propping up a senile utterly corrupt forever politician who is too addled to stand trial (but can somehow be President?!) and hope everyone ignores all the proof coming out disproving all your previous ‘get Trump’ hoaxes that have utterly failed. Go ahead, throw the rule of law and the country (and any principle and integrity you had) away on your fever dream to get someone so democracy can’t actually happen!

Oh, and I do agree with Ken in one sense... whatever we say on this topic here on this board is going to make zero difference in the Real World, so in that sense this discussion is a waste of time. But so is watching dog videos on yootube and I probably kill half an hour a day doing that.

It is unfair to characterize Trump supporters as somehow gullible or weak-minded. Enough smart people who should know better have appeared to fall for his schtick to make that stereotype just flat wrong.

What is ‘hopeless’ - and utterly shameful - is the continued support and deference shown by those willing to give a ‘Oh, PLEASE…go right AHEAD donnie!!!’, to someone trying to take apart American democracy.
I used to think trump supporters were just gullible or sort of stupid….or both. And just sort of sad and amusing. Now, I realize they also lack intellectual honesty and integrity altogether. We call such people not just idle sideline viewers; they are willing participants in a slide towards dictatorship. And history will not judge them well.
So no….Im not worried about being ‘friends’.

Yeah, the people who keep donating to his PACs and now the RNC which will probably all be diverted to pay his legal fees and partially pay the judgements against him clearly are not okay and need help.

Not gonna make any friends with this but then don't need or even want them as friends anyhow but, some people have TDS so bad they should probably seek mental health counseling.

Re: Once more Guilty donnie is Guilty, again!
Trump's move to put his daughter in law Lara Trump, 'I'll promise ever cent will go towards Trump's re election' as well as other hand picked loyalists to run the RNC is a sign he plans on raiding their bank account. Of course no one may have told him yet that the RNC is strapped for cash now and in order to stay viable in this year's election they'll need to distribute funds to the lower tier candidates.
The RNC may not acknowledge it yet but Trump has managed to deplete not just the $20 crowd's support but the big donors' as well. There's a whole lot of $ that looks like it's going to sit this one out.

Summary of Judge Engoron’s comments.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... fraud-case
There is the entire Judgment linked at the bottom of the article.
Heather C Richardson Feb 16 column captures some of the Judge and Prosecutor comments;
“[D]efendants submitted blatantly false financial data to…accountants,” Engoron wrote, “resulting in fraudulent financial statements. When confronted at trial with the statements, defendants’ fact and expert witnesses simply denied reality, and defendants failed to accept responsibility….” Engoron detailed the reluctance of the Trumps, including Ivanka, to tell the truth on the witness stand, and concluded: “Their complete lack of contrition and remorse borders on pathological.”
New York attorney general Letitia James, who brought the lawsuit, commented: “Donald Trump is finally facing accountability for his lying, cheating, and staggering fraud. Because no matter how big, rich, or powerful you think you are, no one is above the law.”

Re: Once more Guilty donnie is Guilty, again!
The total amount he now owes in multiple civil cases, plus interest, is over $550 million. And almost $100 million in interest alone.
An interesting question is whether he will raid his PACs for money to help pay these judgements. Which of course complicates his life further because he is using PAC money to pay his considerable legal costs.

Re: Once more Guilty donnie is Guilty, again!
From the previous order the Trump Org is being monitored by court appointed judge. She has already found discrepancies in the financial statements that have been reported to the court. Ongoing, her role will be to review & approve or disapprove of any transactions the Trump Org wants to do...including divesting itself of assets in order to come up with bond $.
The Trumps will not be allowed to just move the assets to a different state or offshore...
The ruling also states that the Trump boys are fined, that the two financial officers are fined bringing the total to $364 million according to AP reporting.
Trump has been barred from holding an office in a corp or acting in the role of director for 3 years. The CFO's are barred from acting in a financial capacity in NY state as well.
Next up NYAG Alvin Bragg's criminal suit.

Re: Once more Guilty donnie!
Also important to remember that he will need to post a bond in that amount (actually slightly more with interest) if he wants to appeal. Since he certainly doesn't have that much money in a checking account or under the couch cushions at Mar-A-Lago he will have to sell assets to raise that much money.
So now we start getting an idea on how much money he really has.
