Re: Man Murdered Daughter's Ex-Boyfriend For Selling Her Into Sex Trafficking

Just to be clear, the car with the decayed body was moved from a remote area in north Spokane County to a "East Everett Avenue" in Spokane, not across the state to the city of Everett.

The latter is a lot more disturbing.

I hope I am the only one who finds it oddly humorous that the only reason this guy got caught is that somebody apparently stole the car, ditched it, and somebody else attempting to rob the ditched car discovered the body. Crime works in strange ways...

Man Murdered Daughter's Ex-Boyfriend For Selling Her Into Sex Trafficking Ring: Police

A father in Washington State has been charged with murder after he allegedly killed his daughter's ex-boyfriend, who he believed sold her to a sex trafficking ring.

Spokane Police Department (SPD) officers arrested John Eisenman, 60, after the decayed body of 19-year-old Aaron Sorenson was found inside an abandoned truck in the city.

Patrol officers responded to a call about a foul odor coming from an abandoned vehicle that was left in the area of 1800 E Everett on October 22.

In a Facebook post shared on Monday, an SPD spokesperson said: "Patrol officers spoke with several individuals who indicated they believed the body of a deceased person was located in the trunk. SPD officers verified human remains were contained within the vehicle."

Detectives at the Spokane Major Crimes Unit later identified the victim as Sorenson and on October 29, Eisenman was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

According to police, in October 2020 Eisenman learned his juvenile daughter had allegedly been sold to a sex-trafficking ring that operated in the Seattle area.

Eisenman, it is alleged, believed Sorensen was responsible for her sale and worked to locate him after he managed to return his daughter to the Spokane area later that month.

In November 2020, Eisenman learned Sorensen was due to be at a location in Airway Heights, and is accused of waiting there for him to arrive.

When Eisenman spotted Sorensen, he allegedly confronted Sorensen and got into a physical altercation with him.

The SPD Facebook post added: "During that encounter Eisenman abducted the victim, tying him up and placing him in the trunk of the vehicle.

"Eisenman subsequently assaulted the victim by hitting him in the head with a cinder block and then stabbed him repeatedly, causing his death."

Police said Eisenman placed Sorensen into a truck and drove the vehicle to a remote area in North Spokane County where he abandoned it.

The truck remained there until a third party moved it to a location in Spokane at some point in October 21. Police said: "It is not believed the third-party knew the body was in the trunk."

When the car was parked in Everett people rummaged through the car in the search for items and came across the body.

SPD detectives said Eisenman was arrested and taken into custody without incident and worked alongside Airway Heights Police during the case. Prior to his arrest Eisenman had no recent or violent criminal history.

Eisenman has since been booked into Spokane County Jail, and is being held on a bond set at $1 million.

Newsweek has contacted the SPD for comment.
