Re: Warning about cyber attacks in WA state

In the context of Article 5 in NATO, a cyber attack that affected Europe and/or the US could be contemplated as an act of war by Russia. NATO & the UN are both putting out statements that they will review any attack on a case by case basis, but consideration is on the table. Article 4 also leaves that door open for review.

Ukrainians are putting up a valiant defense of their country, reports flowing in that Russian troops, tanks and aircraft are running low on fuel. German is commiting to send stingers and anti tank missles in which is exactly what the Ukrainians have been asking for. On the ground the people of Kyiv have taken down the street signs so that the Russians will have a hard time navigating through the city. Huge crowds of protesters line the streets of Russian major cities.

Europe & US have agreed to disconnect Russia's major banks from SWIFT just this afternoon.

Sure looks like Putin bit off more than he can chew. With all that said, he has two dangerous options that no one wants to see him take. But he is getting cornered. Here's hoping he doesn't opt for either a cyber attack or a nuclear attack.

Those warnings sound like any other day on the Internet.

If the Russians really wanted to cause mayhem and destruction on a large scale, all they'd have to do is slam the right-wing kook sites and put up a notice that looked like the DHS had taken them down for some reason or another.

The right-wing kooks don't know beans about security so even junior high kids could p0wn them without much effort.

The level of mayhem the kooks would cause if they thought the government took away their precious web sites would leave us no time for trivialities like a war.

Well the access was denied. Must have been a false alarm.
