A must read-The Last Winter: The Scientists, Adventurers, Journeymen and Mavericks Trying to Save the World by Porter Fox.
It starts out with the Methow Valley, with Michael "Bird" Shafrer as his guide. Then the author travels to various parts of the world to seek answers as to how, why, what is going on with climate change. The chapters on the Alps and Antarctica are so revealing. The permafrost in the Alps is breaking up in the high mountains and large parts of the mountains are shaving off. Many other instances.
Saw my first balsam single flower out today. Spring Beauties, Bluebells, Buttercups. Not out in full force but soon. Also 2 bluebirds.

This is an article from Wyoming, but shares lots in common with what I'm seeing here in the Methow. From the pollinators to the grouse the impact is being seen
