I know that road exactly as I walked up it the other day. I didn't go to the end. It does climb up and my husband and I kept on going. Steep but it does mellow. The other way is to drive up Lime Cr. and go down, but trying to find it from up there could prove harder.
Will keep you posted if I go up there but it won't be this season. Map helps and we have one that I didn't study much.

Ok, it sounds like I was in the right area. I wanted to do a bushwack traverse from where I was at the base of that rib, over to the Twisp R. trail but was limited on time. I did go to the Twisp River trailhead from the road and started in from there, thinking I could go up off the trai and see what the rib in that area looked like. Very intriguing area and hope to do it late spring, once the snow goes.

I can remember, maybe a two decades or so ago, hiking across the road from War Creek Campground. Hiking to a path that switch backs up this steep mountain side. I think you could start at the trail head for the Twisp River trail going west just up the road from the campground. The steep trail goes to a ridge line which is a very beautiful place.

Hey Tristen, I am trying to find out about the old trail that goes up from War Cr. campground to Canyon Cr. ridge. I went up there last week to try to find the rib to go up and I think I found it. I was looking for an old track that by now is probably quite faint or non existant. It is steep, I know that but might be doable next season. Do you anything about it or anyone that does? Appreciate any info.
