As an Army mom supporting a veteran son, injured in OIF, the battle never ends. It will be a lifetime of reminders of the honor, dignity and integrity he took with him to battle, and came back to a hollow promise. Empty of compassion, wrought with cynicism and utterly useless. He fought to survive the field, and fought again to survive the system. He is our family hero.
