I agree that it is important to understand what chemicals are being used to disinfect surfaces for Coronavirus and their long term effect on children.

Of course the solution is that everyone do their part for the good of our communities and become vaccinated.

Why should children have to be exposed to these potentially dangerous chemicals (and Covid 19) all because adults refuse to be vaccinated?

We need to stop this virus at its source before it gets into our schools. That source is now unvaccinated people.

Kind of a catch 22 eh?

Should schools just reopen - with no precations? I don't know. It seems everytime I check the news there is more about kids getting this or that sickness/disease/syndrome which are COVID-19 related - latest is MIS-C.

The rash of related issues in kids is alarming! I see articles like the following:

Personally , I think school could resume as normal with no extra constraints just as it started in September last year, but, on the other hand the education that young people are receiving is questionable at best, so this is an opportunity for parents to seize the day, and determine to protect their children from political correctness, and liberal agendas put forth through the public schools. I hope a new paradigm for learning can come from this that allows creativity to flourish even if the old public school model becomes a relic of the past.

Well that just sucks... Will probably also weigh heavily on any school opening positions... :-(

Under the leaked COVID-19 task force document, Okanogan County is one of six counties in Washington identified as COVID-19 Red Zones.

What does this mean? Well, it means that we have more than 100 cases per 100k population in the last 7 days (actual number is around 304).

The task force recommends several things individuals can and should do in Red Zones:

* Wear a mask at all times outside the home and maintain physical distance.
* Limit social gatherings to ten people or fewer.
* Do not go to bars, nightclubs, or gyms.
* Use takeout or eat outdoors socially distanced.
* Protect anyone with serious medical conditions by social distancing at home and practicing strict hygiene.
* Reduce public interactions and activities to 25% of your normal activity.
