I was '25 in parts of the valley earlier this week so factor in the +15 we're seeing now and you get 40 degrees dif.
I had a bit of a northerly wind, made for some drifts but now at least snow and wind are calm.

We're still 10 above today up Twisp River. Where is it 40 degrees more?

Kind of insane that it is 40 degrees warmer than two days ago.

Got the text from the co op, pretty much saying don't call us we'll call you and that it's in the Winthrop station. At least it's warming up today and the 'blinks' have stopped.

Oh, and Methow Trails is reporting -25F at the Town Trailhead, and a balmy -10F at Rendezvous Pass.

The forecast has us getting up to 32-33F by Monday. I suspect I'll be out sunbathing and wearing shorts.

Make that 5 power hits now. I'm starting to unplug gear because this is going to fry something sooner or later.

ya, I've had 4 power hits since 4:30 as well. Each lasting about 20 seconds. I know the house boiler isn't happy. Weather Underground hows -18. Gonna be a rough day.

Power hit about fifteen minutes ago.

Had to go check the heater in the boiler room. All is good.

Fortunately none of my plumbing is in exterior walls (well, except for about eighteen inches in the kitchen sink).

Long night checking the house every hour. Woke up to -18.
Faucets still dripping and as a neighbor noted you can open the doors of any cabinets that have plumbing so that they receive ambient heat from the room.

Remember your water pipes... Depending on your house plumbing design, some folks may need to trickle water to keep lines from freezing. :-)

Methow Trails is showing -20F at the Town Trailhead as of the time of this post.

I think I'm taking a thermos full of tea instead of a jug of water with me on the ski today... Stay warm out there and keep your pipes unfrozen!
