The lifetime park pass now has Donnie’s mug on it.

Folks who have been pasting stickers over his mug are having their passes confiscated by NPS staff.

A tidbit I just ran across:
"According to an internal directive, National Park Service employees at some of the nation’s most popular parks are now instructed to ask visitors questions about their citizenship status."

I want to write a Zombie Apocalypse story where the zombies can still vote. And post on the internet.

Ken seems to think the number of times he can use an expletive upgrades his comment to relevant.
Public lands are suffering mightily, as the piece lays out. Everyone needs to up their awareness and recognize that our taxpayer $ need to be redirected away from Trump's dreams to rule the world and back to taking care of our own business.

It's a bureaucratic nightmare that you probably helped create and promote and probably needs to be starved and reorganized to be more responsive and helpful/useful to us citizens who pay for it all. Less accommodating to the lunatic activists who ideologically only want it all shut down and use courts and inside activists (like you?) Who are all too willing to answer their ridiculous bull*** and further decimate common sense and reality. But you get em bull*** artist and activist while pretending you're moral and virtuous! I (and all here) know who you really are.

GOOD analysis!

https://morethanjustparks.substack.com/ ... s-starving

“The U.S. Forest Service Is Starving to Death in Real Time
America is running 193 million acres on a starvation budget, and the consequences are already here

The United States is trying to manage 193 million acres of national forests and grasslands with an agency that is functionally broke.

Not symbolically broke. Not rhetorically broke. Actually, measurably, operationally broke.

The system that maintains more than 370,000 miles of roads, 164,000 miles of trails, thousands of bridges, drinking water systems, dams, campgrounds, and entire watersheds is carrying a $10.8 billion maintenance backlog and losing staff (intentionally) faster than it can replace them.

This is not a future risk. It is a present failure and one that should alarm every American.

The agency responsible for one fifth of all federally managed land is being asked to absorb larger wildfires, higher visitation, aging infrastructure, and rising housing costs for workers while Congress congratulates itself for marginal fixes that do not touch the core problem.

The name of that agency is the U.S. Forest Service. And it’s ruin is will affect all of us for generations to come.
